College 7s National Championships’ 13 pools announced
BOULDER, Colo. – Pools have been determined for the three divisions competing in the 2015 USA Rugby College 7s National Championships. Six pools of four will makeup the Men’s Division I bracket, while the Women’s 16-team field is divided into four pools, and 12 Men’s DII schools will compete over three pools.
Pool headliners in the Men’s DI field include American International, Arizona State, Central Washington and
D1A National Champion Saint Mary’s. Texas State been added to the College 7s National Championship tournament and will compete in Pool B after Notre Dame was forced to pull out of the Championship weekend hosted by the University of Denver.

Coming of its
recent Women’s DI College 15s National Championship, Penn State will be heavy favorites to advance to the Cup rounds. As will Central Washington, who fell to the Nittany Lions May 9 at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium at Kennesaw State.

2013 Men’s DII College 7s National Champions, Principia, will defend it title at the University of Denver, and will likely be challenged by James Madison, Minnesota-Duluth, Notre Dame College and Wisconsin-Whitewater – each of which reached the Semifinals of the 2014 Men’s DII National Championship.

The 52 teams will compete over three pitches Memorial Weekend at the University of Denver. May 23’s day one will see pool play completed, and knock-out rounds will lead to the crowning of three National Champions May 24.
All matches of the 2015 USA Rugby College 7s National Championships will be aired live on
USA Rugby TV, and the Cup Finals for all three competing divisions will air on
ESPN 3 from 4-6 p.m. MT on May 24. Tickets will be available at the gate for $15.
